Nice summary. Sam Houston died thinking that he was a failure in life. Can you believe that?

Why did he leave his Tennessee wife and why was her father an enemy? How did living with the Cherokee help him later on in his life.

Sam Houston is a big name in Texas history. Maybe the biggest name. Houston, Texas is obviously named after him.

Now why do you suppose he thought himself to be a failure?

Nice blog for a start. Now blog some your Civil War movie and try to understand why things happened and how the people reacted. Look for characteristics which would be considered cultural.

Good job.
